I shall never rest,
Until my good is better,
And my better best.”
Proverbs 27:7 comes to mind when this topic was considered.
“A full soul loathes an honeycomb but to an hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.”
Truly, we need not be ‘goodie-goodie’ to enter into the kingdom of God as some say, as we are saved by grace through faith and not of our works.(Ephesians 2:8-9). However, we can’t but be aware and challenged by the dividends of good works.Besides, scriptures did say,LET your light so shine before men that they may see your GOOD WORKS and glorify your father in heaven. (Mathew 5:16,Proverbs 4:18).
Can we then say that the measure of our shining is directly proportionate to the degree or magnitude of our good WORKS? (Selah)
