Living by faith can be described in two ways . Let’s consider together the concept of farming.
A farmer has access to acres and hectares of farmland. He has a wide variety of seeds, stems and roots to chose from. All he needs do is cultivate the land, add the manure , start planting.
He also has a choice of quantity or how much planting he does.Such farmer could chose subsistence farming or mass production. Whatever the case,it boils down to choice.
So it is with believers.
Our daily choices, openness and attitudes to the values and principles of God’s word determine our outcomes. We chose to take God’s word for ALL areas of our lives as touching finances, relationships, attitudes to work, Healthcare and wholesome habits, faith instead of fear, giving and receiving, deliberate growth, faithfulness, etc. All of these define our personality and character.
God’s thoughts for us is goodness and our heritage, abundant life.
It therefore implies that my prosperity to a large extent lies with me.We often retain unwholesome status quo because we,more often than not ascribe responsibility to God. As we most likely know, that’s a huge misconception of roles.
It therefore implies that my spirituality must translate into an admirable, enviable life in all things.
We shouldn’t indulge in blame games or mis-directed responsibility.
It therefore implies that I’m living a ‘holy’ life and I’m struggling in my finances, relationships or other areas of my life, to a large extent,I am responsible.
The implication is that if I am soooooo anointed and decorated with heaven’s resources,my degree of solutions generation should be more, enough to meet my needs and those of others.
What this implies is that, the heathens should seek the wisdom and grace of God at work and evidently so in my life.
It implies that if I fail in these responsibilities in my days,I not only short-change myself but I equally waste heaven’s investments.
What areas do we desire growth in our lives. We can make today count by taking inventory with smart plans that’ll take us closer to our expected end.
Prayer: Lord, today, I chose to take responsibility. I cannot run this race by myself. Let my life reflect you well in all things. Strengthen my heart and arms, help me make my time here count, Jesus’ name
